Your Storage Shouldn't Decide When Your Workday Starts

One thing you notice when you operate a storage facility is that business owners don't necessarily work normal business hours.

We've seen customers pulling up early in the morning. Others stop by later in the evening. Weekends aren't unusual either.

That's just how running a business works sometimes.

Maybe you're getting ready for the next day's jobs. Maybe you suddenly need something that's been stored away. Maybe Sunday afternoon is the only time you have available to get organized before another busy week starts.

Whatever the reason, having to wait for a storage facility to open shouldn't be the thing holding you up.

That's one reason Stand Up Storage offers 24-hour access.

For our business customers, it means the things they're storing are available when they actually need them, not just during a set window of time.

We also see quite a bit of furniture being stored by businesses. Depending on the company, furniture can take up a lot of valuable space pretty quickly. Desks, chairs, tables, shelving, and other bulky items aren't always needed every day, but that doesn't necessarily mean a business is ready to get rid of them.

That's where having extra space can make sense.

Of course, a growing business could look for a larger building or additional commercial space. Sometimes that's absolutely the right decision.

But it also comes with another question:

Do you actually need an entire additional commercial space, or do you just need more room?

There's a big difference.

For businesses that simply need somewhere to keep furniture, equipment, inventory, supplies, or other items they don't use every day, a storage unit can be a practical alternative.

It can also allow a business to keep its existing office, shop, or workspace from slowly becoming its storage room.

Pricing matters too.

Business owners pay attention to expenses, and they should. That's why we've always worked to keep our storage rates competitive. Extra space should solve a problem for your business without creating an unnecessarily large new expense.

At the end of the day, we're not going to tell every business owner they need a storage unit.

Some don't.

But if your current location is getting crowded and you're not ready to take on significantly more commercial space, it's worth looking at the numbers.

And if you need to grab something at 6 in the morning or 9 at night?

That's your business.

Your storage should work around it.
